This is a great day to do something good. Our blood supply in America is at a critically low level due to the Corona Virus. Many people are (appropriately) sheltering in place, and the regular large-scale blood drives sponsored by work, school, religious and other organizations are no longer happening. But you can take it upon yourself to donate at a time when it is critically important. Rarely will your blood mean more.
The American Red Cross has enacted very tight safety protocols to protect yours and their health. If you are healthy and capable of it, take today’s challenge to find the nearest blood drive and donate. https://www.redcross.org/give-blood.html #KendrickCoronaChallenge #KendrickRealty #LockdownTips #BloodDrive #BloodDonation

So far, many of these challenge items have been about doing something other than watching TV or Movies, so it’s time to mix it up. Today’s challenge is to watch one of the thousands of excellent documentaries that exist out there. Documentary films are a great way to get a deep view of a subject you might otherwise have known nothing about. Some of us are already inclined to watch such films, but for those who have not found the time to do so, nothing to lose to try it today! Don’t have an online streaming platform? There are tons of free documentaries available online. Here are some links:

This time, let’s try touring other parts of the world! With the emerging technology, visiting different places ‘virtually’ is becoming common, and it can be a really good time for you to try it out if you haven’t yet! Prepare snacks, refreshing drinks and maybe put on costumes depending on which places you want to visit. Paris anyone? Visit the Louvre and get some culture!

Especially when we’re all locked in together, its easy for tempers to get short and little things to boil over. But it can be just as easy to show friends, family and loved ones how much you really care. Even if that means stepping outside of your comfort zone a little. Stay safe and have a good weekend everyone! Here's a message from our CEO himself, Luke Monroe. #KendrickCoronaChallenge #KendrickRealty #LockdownTips #DoSomethingNice There is an incredible amount of free online learning available to us. You might be surprised and want more. Feed your brain with good stuff, it needs nourishment too. ;)
#KendrickCoronaChallenge #KendrickRealty #LockdownTips #BrainFood #OnlineClass #LearningIsFun Now is the time to donate. There are so many people out there who are desperately in need of our help. Support causes or advocacies that mean something to you or pick some charities based on what needs are greatest now. Donating doesn't just mean giving financial aid, but it can be in many other forms. Not all of us are in a good place to assist financially to charities, and that's okay. One of the best ways to give back to others is by volunteering your time. You can set up an online session to reach out to those at home like yourself and share your skills, give motivational speeches, or just listen to those who need people to talk to. No matter how big or small, helping and being compassionate are some of the grandest gestures. These acts can put a smile on a child's face or extend someone's life. Genuine desire to help can impact others' lives and yours too. It generally promotes feelings of happiness and positivity, so let's help when we can.

Well, they are probably feeling the same way too. So be the instigator and put together a coffee meetup or happy hour with some people you’d like to spend time with. Use Zoom, Google Hangout, Skype, Facetime and any of the many other options for free conferencing. If you’re doing a happy hour, try having it themed around a particular drink, or, since many of us won’t be able to make a supply run, try “mix what you have” happy hours. Maybe the drink will be great, maybe not! But that’s part of the fun.
Doing a coffee meetup? If you want to make a theme, pick a book or easier, a movie for everyone to discuss. #KendrickCoronaChallenge #KendrickRealty #LockdownTips #VitualMeetup #HappyHour Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/KendrickRealtyInc/ Instagram: @kendrickrealty Alright, pet people out there. Now’s the time to channel your inner fashion designer. Maybe you have some cute pet outfits already. Maybe you have some clothes that you were going to get rid of anyway - turn it into a pet outfit. A cool new bandana? Stylish sunglasses, or a new scarf. Since we’ve all been home so much these last several days, our pets have probably never been happier, but it is also easy for us to get so used to each others company that we forget quality time. This is a great activity for the family too.
Of course - post your pics so we can see the most fashionable pet :) At a time like this, it’s easy to spiral into negativity but our focus determines how we feel. The way we feel on the inside often reflects how others perceive us on the outside. Make a list of all the things you are grateful for. You can start with the simple things - your health, your support network, your home. There is no magic number for this list, some people may have 3, others may have 30. The important thing is to think and really hold close each item and feel the gratitude. At the end of this exercise your mood will feel just a little bit better, and your outlook a little bit brighter.
If you can take this habit forward each and every day, imagine how it will feel starting the day with this bright attitude. #KendrickCoronaChallenge #KendrickRealty #LockdownTips #Gratitudelist Facebook: www.facebook.com/KendrickRealtyInc/ Instagram: @kendrickrealty Do something for yourself that you’ve been putting off. Maybe it’s whitening your teeth, or painting your nails a crazy color (What’s the risk? No one will see!). Guys, maybe today’s the day to try a seaweed facemask or a bath bomb. Pamper yourself in a way that you wouldn’t normally, or maybe you only do once a year. So get your crests ready and those pearly whites selfie-ready. While you’re at it why not read 10 pages from a book or do 15 squats. Talk about hitting two birds with one stone!
